Start with your ship's Geiranger schedule
Every good Geiranger day begins with your cruise line's arrival, departure, and all-aboard times. Subtract at least 45 minutes from your last possible departure to set a hard deadline for being back at the tender or SeaWalk. Confirm times on your ship's app the morning you arrive.
Morning: Flydalsjuvet and the village
Disembark as early as you are cleared ashore and head to your excursion meeting point. The Eagle Road & Flydalsjuvet tour covers the iconic viewpoint and village orientation efficiently. On shorter port calls, choose the walking tour to explore the harbour and fjord village on foot.
Lunch: Harbour area
Return to the village centre for lunch at a harbour café or restaurant. The compact layout means you are never far from your tender or SeaWalk landing — eat with one eye on the clock and keep your all-aboard time visible on your phone.
Afternoon: Eagle Road and waterfall viewpoints
With six or more hours ashore, add the Geiranger Fjord Sightseeing Tour for Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil waterfall views from the fjord. On eight-hour port days, the Mount Dalsnibba & Skywalk or Scenic Mountain & Waterfall Experience delivers the full landscape.
Return to ship
Head back to the tender landing or SeaWalk at least 30–45 minutes before all aboard. Allow extra margin on anchor days when tender queues form. Use the Cruise Smart Planner to validate your itinerary against your actual port window before you sail.
